Raw Wildflower Honey
Created by honey bees from wildflowers in spring and early summer in the lower piedmont area of North Carolina. Uwharrie Gold raw wildflower honey is unfiltered, preserving its natural enzymes and nutrients. Tending to taste mild and warm, the color and flavor vary depending on where they decide to forage but tends to be aromatic with slightly spicy and floral undertones. Smooth and viscous, it is ideal for drizzling on fruit or spreading on a piece of toast or biscuit.
These local honey bees travel to the mountains in late summer and fall to produce basswood and sourwood honey.
